Updated Forks
Decided that my forks needed an update and given that I've not bought anything of much note for a while thought I get myself a end of lock-down present.
This is a pic I've just taken for a bit of comparison, these are my Factory FGR's which I acquired some time back Got to strip them out of the bike and send them off, but when they get back they should look just like this, with Carbon outer tubes, ceramic coated carbon stanchions and the bottoms stripped and anodized black plus they will be 3kg lighter 3KG un-sprung weight off the front end should make a massive difference to the turn in speed, as a bonus they are going to look great

I think we're all utterly stunned.
But then, we were pretty stunned by the originals anyway. Mind you, will reduced unsprung weight affect turn in speed, or merely increase the ability of the suspension to follow road surface irregularities due to reduced linear inertia .. I would have thought that rotational inertia reduction would be necessary to affect turn in speed ....? So, what do you reckon the whole bike will weigh after that ? Must be down to close on 150kg or less by now ....? |

Wow.
The metal to non-metal part ratio is seriously swinging in one direction. Just a thought, apart from the headlight reflector will there be anything on your bike to return a radar signature? Just asking for a friend |

Nice! I assume the 3kg weight loss is from switch to carbon outer tubes? Or are they doing exotic things to the internals too?

To be fair I didn’t know such thing existed until last weekend, spotted several bikes on the MotoGP grid looking like they had carbon forks, thought I must be mistaken, so looked it up 🤯
