Fuel gauge problem

After 2 1/2 years of warranty work my fuel gauge is still not working as it should so I would be interested if anyone here with a 1200s has the same issue.
Whenever I go out on the bike I always fill it before putting it away, however if I fill it with only one bar of fuel used the gauge does not show full but stays at 7 bars, if I use two bars it's the same. It will only reset to full if I fill up with three (or more) bars of fuel used. There are other issues but this will do to start off with, please only reply if you have a 1200 as I don't want advice like "only fill up when the tank is half full".

I'm not familiar with your exact Monster but I'd be checking the Plugs in the circuit for poor connections. These devices usually use a milliamp signal, and even a small amount of dirt or corrosion could affect the signal.

The factory fix is to only fill up when you have used exactly 3 bars full of fuel, any less than 3 bars then don't fill up, just have a coffee and a baguette and be on your way!

no

no ???

My 1980 Z1-R had a fuel gauge controlled by a float and a rheostat. As the needle on the gauge dropped to the notch marked on the line onto reserve it would go. Manual change over of course :-)
