Panther's Monsters

My Bro's and I picked up our bikes yesterday, so here's a few pics of how they are looking.

My bro's it a 600 fitted with sil-moto CF exhausts and a nice cf tail (for those people who like tea-trays)

My bike's still not finished......., is a 750 special, fitted with custom exhausts from NRP. I'm thinking about fitting a ktm duke headlights

Both bikes look real nice. Glad the project going well.

Question ??? Why do people put termignoni stickers on nice sils. Are they inferior. The sils stickers look good and great cans. Better made than Termis and I run termis on mine.

I had no idea you have 'finished' it. You no doubt solved many problems along the way. Good work.

the 750 is sick, similar to my old S2R, how about getting off the plastic side panels to reveal more of the frame. I presume you've dropped the headlight and clocks?? if not can those cloacks get dropped a bit lower, then those lines will be superb. I took my belt covers off as well, I no its dangerous but it looked amazing. Its a lovely bike you have, the grey and red go so well together. nice work

Thanks for all the kind words.....I'm finally sober enough after NY to post another message on here.

I know what you mean about termignoni stickers Albie, I guess some people think termignoni has more Qdos. The Sil Cans do seems very well made, I like it that the are shorter than termignoni too, so I will be able to tail chop my brothers bike. (his cf tail will be up for sale in due course)

Helcat, the clip-ons definitely helps to give the bike a cafe-racer look, they also feel more comfortable that my old flat bars give me more steering lock too. As you can see the are currently above the yoke but I plan to fit them under.

Jimmy, the headlight and clocks have not yet! been dropped, I'm going to looking in fitting KTM headlight first, but I'm not sure if I will start to loose the iconic monster styling.

Thats a good point about the belt covers and cf side panels too, I will take them off and see how it looks. I really like the look of the speedy moto belt covers but they are a bit expensive, I could also get them in silver and red but might again be OTT.

Anyway remaining plans to mod my bike are on hold for 4 weeks, I'm off to do a 'top gear' I going to buy a minsk in Vietnam and ride from Hanoi to Sigon.

Nice bikes dude. The clip ones work really well and have now got me thinking that I do the same with my 600. Personally I'd leave the headlight alone. People may disagree with me on this one but I think that's what makes the monster the monster - A BIG ROUND HEADLIGHT. I've seen people put 2 small lights on the front but for me the only bike that can get away with it is the Street/Speed Triple. I have also see other fairing style headlights put on them and again not for me.
To be honest it's the headlight design on the new Monsters that turns me off them slightly - If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I have to say I love twin spots... and the big uns..

However I really really love the big headlight on the Monster..
Its part of its charm I agree..
The new headlight design doesn't float my boat sorry ..

My Kat has the rectangular headlight which isn't pretty .. however throws out a superb beam!! I was stunned out how good it was.

My twin dominators on the other bike are halogens but rather then side by side are stacked and the beam is not as good as the monny even with two halogens!

My monster had twin chrome lamps, but to me it just didn't look right.

Fortunately, the original headlight was included so it's now back as Ducati intended, with the lamps available for sale to those who like the two eyed look..

I really like the look without the cf side panels but, It's going to be an effort to relocating the 'ht coil' and epically removing it's brackets from the frame.

I've also took a few pics with the KTM headlight resting in place so I can decide if its a keep...........It's just going to take me a few hrs of photo editing to make it the same color as the bike.

p.s I bet you have had enough of me posting 100's of pics of my bike

How much do you want for the yellow wheel in the background? It's just that I know someone with a Harley

hahaha, thats my Dad's. It's an extra parts of one of his mad inventions he's currently designing a waterwheel and using a tractor gearbox to gearup to the generator.............

I've not got time to edit all the photo's (going to Sweden tomorrow ) But this is what the KTM light looks like. I'm still undecided if it's a keeped.
