Early Monster wanted

Hi,

I am looking for an early Monster, must have a steel tank. I dont mind if its a 600, 750 or 900.

Not sure yet if I want a tidy bike, or one requiring some restoration.

please get in touch if you have anything.

It is Nat,
It's on eBay at present, just been serviced with new belts, tyres, oil and filter. 12 months MOT and looking good.

You've hidden it well Rally?

A search for Ducati M600 in motorcycles doesn't throw it up!

Edit: found it 'Ducati Monster 600 from 1998 - Special edition Tri-Colore with only 10000 miles!'

Not sure: the bike is leaning away from the camera on side stand with a low shot height.

I don’t usually see the underside of the tea tray when looking at the side view.

The curvature of the tank itself may be making it look high and arched because of the photo’ composition?

It’s interesting to see how the silencer sleeves look with a bit of polish instead of the stock brushed anodised finish. You can still see scratches though.

I reckon they're a bit too high and sloping the wrong way compared to my M900 that I'm not aware has been tampered with in that respect.

From the advert

Mine

I should say it would make no difference to me unless I was going to stick it in a box as an investment.

I think someone thought they would smarten up some scratched mufflers and after a while realised it was more effort than they were prepared to spend. Personally polished cans would not be my choice.

Agreed - too much work to look after.

Definitely looks like the decals aren’t quite right to me too.

There’s this one on eBay- nothing to do with me but the price looks great for a ‘97 model
