Sarah from the Hotel has confirmed today the hotel is now FULLY BOOKED. I have said " current guest list " because there are other guests booked and I have first refusal on any cancellations, so to confirm:

If there is a favoured B&B nearby, I will be happy to give up my room and save some Commando vouchers on cheaper digs.
If there are a few of us at the same place we could share a taxi to the venue for evening meals ect.

I wouldn't want to feel I was denying anyone a place at the Weekender by taking the last room.. Nor would I want to see any of the rooms going empty.

Nice one Gary, I have mailed the hotel to ask i f they have a "partner" in the area that they recommend in cases such as ours, I will post an update as soon as I get a response from the hotel.

For clarity " commando fund" refers to Norton ??.........please say yes !

SWMBO and myself are booked into The Hand hotel in Llangollen for the Weekender dates, it's about 1 mile east of the main venue, so looking forward to meeting everyone. Two day visitor fees sent via Paypal (I hope), cheers.

Booking , as this year, is direct with the hotel, members just need to quote "Ducati Club" to get the agreed rates.
The hotel will confirm by E-Mail but deposits are not required until March 2019.

Thanks Duncan, that's spot on. When I contacted them last week I got the impression they had taken credit card details to secure the room but deposits wont be taken until later.

Actually time for a brief update on the guest list, sadly Singletrack has had to cancel however her room has now gone to two guys that many of you know from Belgium so ~ current Guest List is........

As bookings are direct I am requesting a donation ,on a voluntary basis ,to cover the clubs expenses for the weekender with surplus going back into the Club, it worked well at this year's event . £10:00 for Hotel guests and £5:00 for day visitors appeared to be acceptable, I will post up a paypal link or cash on the day if you prefer.

The details are in the embryonic stages however the current plan includes:


- a buffet on Friday night ( approx. £12:00/head )
- Dinner on Saturday night ( approx. £25:00/head )
- possible Hog Roast on Sunday afternoon ( tbc £££)

There will of course be ride outs taking in some of the best biking roads in the UK, we look forward to welcoming you "up north"

If they are roasting an Harley on Sunday, I’ll definitely be there.
