In that case it would narrow it down to what the new cables connect to?

OK today been at it all day , rechecked all the static riming its all spot on ,, also took the complete coil .Kokusan ,HT lead assembly plugs etc and sub loom of my working M750 and connected it to the bike with wiring all in the correct ducati manual order the bike fires up but run s like crap ,, it also dies as soon as you release choke ,
ONE would naturally assume FUEL STARVATION But of course the carbs work perfectly on my other bike ??? fuel filter is new as are all hoses ,, and the vacuum fuel pump was rebuilt during the rebuild with new parts . but before i fitted the new pickups the bike did run well on horizontal cylinder and fairly good above 3000rpm above ,, so now its running worse than then ???? im gonna fit the old pickups and recheck tommorow ,,, thing is everything is now rither new or completely refreshed with new parts ,, and tested on the other bike ,, baffling ????

Victory .....almost
the bike is now running just a little spit back off idle ,to sort the cause of all the problems ..not carbs ,wiring, ignition no it was a tiny crack in the new inlet manifold ... FFS I had sprayed this are 3 times looking for leaks but it was only visible when the things was removed from the head, inside of tube were teltale black marks but outside clean ???!!!! replaced it with another one and hey ho bike runs , its balanced and ticks over just some spit back on left hand carb off idle to tune out ... and give it a test ride ????? so i wasted £100 on new pickups , and then there was all the carb rebuilds ....dirrrrr

That's great news, Jerry! Glad you've finally traced the problem after all your frustrations.

Perseverance paid off. Well done. It’s good to know what caused it.

I’ve enjoyed reading this, and felt the frustration along the way. Never I doubt you’d fix it.
