Great photo
Blue isn't a common colour for monsters but I really like that

Hi guys I've took the clip ons off my bike and gone back to the rental straight bars and decided to change the clutch and brake lines while I'm at it
I can't get the clutch to work, I've pumped a load of fluid through it but nothing.Any tips ? the brakes bled fine |

Use a syringe or vacuum pump of some sort to pull the fluid through. If there's enough air in the system (more that the master cylinder can shift in one stroke) it can be incredibly difficult to get the bleeding process started. I would definitely try putting a bungee round the lever overnight, which should let any air rise to the top of the system, this may allow you to bleed it in the morning if you're lucky.

With the lever pulled, the system is sealed from the reservoir, no way for any air to escape, it may get dissolved and will come out of solution as soon as the pressure on the lever is removed and the piston retracts, note that if air is dissolved it will do so throughout the fluid and not just the bit at the top. |

It does work though, I can attest to that. And it seems to be a well known trick. I wonder how? |

Another trick is to bleed from the master cylinder banjo bolt, fitting one with a bleed nipple would make this a bit easier.
If air is trapped at the top you the master cylinder won't be able to push it out all the way to the bottom. I've seen some later Brembo masters fitted with a bleed nipple presumably for this purpose?
