Credit to the guy who worked on this half. The guy who's decision it was to bolt it to the other half, needs a good kicking.

do you think Ducati are reading threads like these? They must be remembering launch pics of the 999

Her holyness has just fallen over in disgust...
Her Holyness of Bologna (Nessie to everyone else), being old and wise (and not the prettiest member of the UKMOC), has just fallen over in disgust of her new sibbling....

Well, if Ducati read these boards....
I'll have one. It's bluddy gorgeous and I want one. Send me one forthwith! In black if it's all the same to you.

Er the people who like this bike probably need eye tests urgently as well as mental health checks .

New Monster
Like the rear end Not to sure about the front, will need to see it in the flesh. When will they release the 800cc & 1100cc versions? Will the 800cc & 1100cc versions have a sindle sided swing arm? Will Baglux produce a tank cover for that tank? Desmo. Last edited by desmo; 06-11-2007 at 04:31 PM.. Reason: 1 photo didn't appear |

I'm disappointed. After the Hypermotard I was expecting something special- I think the designers have been restrained from using their imagination by corporate bosses worried that anything too radical compared to the old Monster may have the "999" effect on sales.
The new Bimota DB7 also launched at Milan does give me a trouser tingle though: |

[QUOTE=neilbaldry;230443]its totally lost its contempory look. it was a classic design. now it looks like Ducati have 'sold out' and made it look very Japanese. some bits i like, but alot i dont im afraid.
I was thinking it's very similar to the most recent Hornet, I think an Italian designed that one. Perhaps it was the same bloke |

Has anyone else noticed that it really is a Monster?! If you look closely at the rear subframe and the footpeg hangers its a Pterydactyl head and its breathing fire (the exhaust).
Or, perhaps I shouldn't have eaten a whole tub of M&S Rocky Roads before looking at the picture!! I have to admit though, its growing on me. Every time I look at it I see another new small detail that makes it look even better (like no cable ties on the frame). Last edited by Bodybag; 06-11-2007 at 05:14 PM.. |
