Well there's plenty of time to make one... Or grow one?

I keep thinking about getting the wheels done gold . My forks are silver though, wonder if they would look ok with gold wheels? . I think the white bodywork looks good with gold wheels and so would the red set that I have . It would need to be the correct 1100s gold colour though . Rally's monster was gold wheels, red frame, white bodywork and that looked good .

Well, a big box did turn up! . Scrap the gold wheels idea for the moment .
Lightweight forged Marchesini wheels have arrived . They are so light it's ridiculous . The tyres feel heavier . The front weighs 3.13kg and the rear 3.47kg . Looking forward to getting them fitted . Might be this week as I'm still off work and looking like going back next week . |

Nice wheels! jealous. Those naff looking red valves would have to go though, GSXR/Bandit specials. Do they light up?

I didn't see those coming, Colin! Very nice Are they a direct swap from Marchesini or are they from another Ducati (I know the Hypermotard S had forged Marchesinis).

Front brake offsets may need adjusting.

Geoff claimed that I inspired him to do his headlamp conversion and gave me a running commentary. It features one of my headlamp adapters and a Cibie lamp. He schooled me in the correct pronunciation of Cibie which he insisted is see-be-ay as the French say it, not cee-bee as most of us do.
He used to travel with Fords rally team to maintain the transmissions, he would be able to get free Cibie lamps from the works van that attended the rallies too, but he had to pay for the one in his bike.. He gave me a fantastic nod in the design of the last Weekender T-shirt when he instigated the inclusion of an adapter ring in the headlamp of the arm logo. You can see it in Luddite's avatar. I think he christened me Lord of the Rings too.. I know who bought Geoff's bike, so I'm sure it's being very well looked after and probably won't be altered.. hope it get's ridden though..
