Sorry guys - based on the weather here (p*ssing down) looks like I'm gonna bail
Need to ride the bike a bit more until I'm happy riding it in the wet. Gutted, been looking forward to it all week! Enjoy the day and hope it brightens up for you |

Chris, what can I say,we were listening out for you mate, was it that bad in Stoke? We got away with it all day,few spots at vyrnwy and that was it. Next time mate, or there is always the weekender
So ,great turnout today ,thanks to Adie,Chris,Pezz,....nice to see Colin and Rob ...and of course Pete . Six monsters and our first sighting of Adie851,s erm...851, great to see such a wonderful example, as it was a rare sighting,a few pics below. We managed to navigate our way through a cycle race onto the wonderful roads leading to Vyrnwy. It was as dull as dishwater and threatening rain but after a welcome brew we made for home and avoided the rain. Great day out guys, probably be the weekender when we reconvene ,not many sleeps to go 958D80E3-F998-4058-9342-D014D6EC83C7 by Mike OConnor, on Flickr F77003DC-6753-4B12-B5E6-A41DDF178DAB by Mike OConnor, on Flickr BF88B069-6BA7-4913-9DF2-C48C2312688E by Mike OConnor, on Flickr F3A6F6A8-0752-48CF-9326-BB0E31FB0DDF by Mike OConnor, on Flickr 3395E028-0D24-4AD2-B765-3F82E0E612AF by Mike OConnor, on Flickr |

What a nice cross section of Ducatis, the 851 does look nice.
Looks like you managed to miss a tractor run as well..

Dammit I knew this would happen!
It was pretty wet here when I got up, and I looked at the forecast at least a dozen times, but all the apps I tried said rain was more than 50% likely throughout the day. The rain here didn't really clear til about 11am, but I just knew the sun would be beaming down in Wales! Looks like you had a decent day and some lovely machines on display. Next time.... *waves fist at sky* |

Well a modest gathering of regulars, good to see Pete on his Velo and Chris for breakfast then dashing home before the weather really turned. We will be having a grand day out in a couple of weeks heading to devils bridge and surrounding areas…..watch this space for arrangements.

Devils Bridge
Well folks, having visited one Devils Bridge during the Weekender Saturday Ride out, its now time to compare abutments and check out the Welsh version !
Sunday August 1st monthly meet will actually be a ride out to Devils Bridge , very nearly Aberystwyth Reasonably early start, first meeting point is the BP service area just South of Chester on the A483 , departing from there at 09:00. Then we head South on the A483 aiming to get to Devils Bridge by 11:30 where we will hopefully get a table booked at either the Two Hoots or Woodlands Cafe's. Pete will confirm later this week. So if you fancy a bimble next Sunday ,post up .fingers crossed for dry weather |
