Yeah, went through all this trying to get Calum insured on his 650 - youth and a couple of "unfortunate" incidents meant he had to fork out £1100 TPFT..... ouch

i've just renewed with CN, was an OK quote but I looked around, Ducati Ins really expensive for three bike policy as were others. I then went on line to CN and reinput my details as new customer and got it down by £65. I rang them up and renewed for the lower price and got free cover to cover my excess as well - not that I'm planning on claiming.
it was a worthwhile exerciseand might be worth giving it a go for yourself.

so I am hunting about for a price ..
Joke is I am an old girl... £400 they can whistle !!! thats double my car insurance!!! and 2 other bikes!

Swinton seem to be good this year a few people have said that and they where cheaper on the monster then Ducati insurance.

Can't you get a multi-bike policy? It only cost me £40 to add my 125 Vespa to the Ducati insurance, fully comp last year. I don't pay £400 for 3 bikes!

Not many companies offer a multibike policy now. I was lucky that H&R do have that option - managed to insure the 900ie and M2 Buell for £390 fully comp. Being an old git has it's benefits - could do without the aches and pains though

I have a multibike from FJ and I thought they are quite reasonable. All my bikes are being looked after at a Ducati specialist's place in Leeds and CN wouldn't insure them unless they were on my premises.

I am with Footman James (insuers are actually Sun Alliance) for my 2 bikes and never had a problem with them, have been with them for the last 6 years there prices have alway been competative, i have commercial vehicle insurance with Adrian Flux and i will not be renewing with them under principle as they really annoyed me

I think the problem is alot of these brokers are getting bigger and bigger and employing monkeys, back about 20 years ago when i was about 17 i used to work for a commercial insurance broker and i remember dealing with footman and flux and back then, they were very small and very very good to deal with they could sort anything out we had problems placing, and if they could not do it not one could, unfortunalty times have changed, in some ways for the better but in some was not so good IMO. i can actually get cheaper comprehensive cover than Third party fire and theft...............go figure...

i assume you have tried putting on a mega voluntary X/S ?

I'll be starting my annual ring round once I get home as the insurance is up for renewal.

Hope it works out for you Chris.
