I would really like to get into learning to polish ... I am a magpie and tactile person.
I love bringing up paint , and can polish boots and shoes to military standard mirror finish I get great satisfaction from stuff like that. Well done |

The only problem with polished parts on bikes is that they need constant maintenance (unless lacquered) and keep getting stolen by magpies

Quite right, but I lacquer all the shiny bits anyway, every visible bolt and nut on the bike is lacquered, and some of the not so visible ones too. Only thing I don't lacquer is the backs of the mirrors, it,s easier to get the flies off the bare chrome.

You should see Taz when he sits on the sofa next to you and then looks at you out of the corner of his eye - proper freaks out my Mum. Bella our smaller bitch on the other hand can only manage a cute face and is not even 0.00000% scary.
