The other problem with photobucket is once you reach your allocated free storage limit, they lock you out unless you pay up and subscribe.

Well PB can stuff themselves so its now like radio for the moment until a proper broadcast can be shown but Blog covers it generally.

Got my Stein Dinse parts today and as per usual service is fantastic and to be honest post at £9 overseas very quick UPS is creditable.
The triangular oil line plate made billet this time not cast is now painted black vht.
The seat cowl has the brackets and screws on and now fixed to the seat.

The oil cooler hose has the clip and Gumi rubber in place and attached to the starter motor mount bolt and now understand that the clip is a double as in fits the airbox breather fish tail end too.

I have reversed the rear clip that holds the carb breather and that looks correct now and neater and more functional.

I also for now unless I get a new power cable set have improved the look of the rear earth lead as one end had insulation tape covering split rubber end cover. Removed it to check cable and all is good so replace with heat shrink on both ends to make it look as it should.

Ordered 4 more bearings for the camshaft 6004 c3 x 2 and 6003 c3 x 2 as although they were knocked out by a ducati specialist and run fine I don't want the risk of fail or wear for mere £18. Just need the oil seals but the writing was so tiny I never got it all and was unsure about material type so Moto Rapido for them to be sure.

Clutch plates here from Germany so can make and measure a stack and fit.

Decided a new oil breather hose is better than one that's had an end cut down and a split on end from Stein Dinse (but Ducati ). Clips look original and a pair.

Got the rear brake sorted and a paint touch up too and the brand new Brembo clips with Brembo dust caps which I had to but 2 off to replace.

Passenger footrests can be fitted now as got ball bearings to fit now.

Also got radiator mount rubbers from not Ducati but on ebay . 4 for less than the price of 1 OEM one and to be honest better as its 20mm dia x 20mm long and not the OEM of 25mm dia and 20mm long. The OEM are to big really and unnecessarily so. Have 2 spare if any one has perished but were £5.79 inc post for 4 Ducati are £6.86 each plus post.

So today's news is spoke with Proteam Al and we are getting the lump in as soon as I can get the belts ,circlips for gudgeon pins, gasket set and clutch metal plates which should be under two weeks time. Plan is I drop it down lower block and the heads barrels fitted with cams and valves reseated in case and alternator gets sealed down and starter motor checked prior. Belts can be done and valve clearances cold .
It shouldn't take long and then I take back home and put back in the frame build her up with suspension wheels and wiring loom in correct place before fitting all the oil lines and stuff to her becoming a bike. Then once that's all done she will go back as a bike for a running once over and finished service oil change to clear out any debris and have an mot.
Frustration and today as I ordered clutch metal plates for £80 and he said I have loads spare in the scrap. Maybe mine were there lol. Never mind that it's a new clutch now
I now have my seat catches back one on the seat one going for plating next week with odds and sods
Took the crank pressure valve off tonight as has some scuffing damage and looked tatty so now all painted lacquered and ready to go back with new washer and silicon.
Going to change black power cables for newer more beefy ones but as a direct length replacement routed the same . Just have to find the person that makes them on the Ducati Forum and not on here

Some news as in all the parts arrived from suppliers so engine being dropped down over weekend so touch wood by the following weekend engine back in frame again and a big milestone for me.
Moto Rapido as usual very polite and rapid delivery on over £200 of parts. Little did I know the brake pads they were sending were Brembo but very nice too all in red. The old EBC ones had grooves and one had the top of one big chunk missing.
Clutch plates all shiney new so they just need to have oil grease removed before fitting clutch
The mirrors have been and had a little love with a gentle rub down on stems and some nice gloss black plastikote on them and these are original early ones with the 8mm thread into a rubber damper unit before going into bigger m10 into bar mounts . I just have to bond a mirror into one of them taken from a knackered scratched up plastic case

Brake pads all fitted tonight but have to order say 4 1.0mm R clips two for spare

Gasket set came today also so we are there a bit more than I expected.
Now I just need to sort the battery leads out as Scott Hyde donated his set he got from Jez but it don't fit well at all. Leads are too long and one more than needed. Any ideas welcome indeed

In which case it might be what he called a "stealth" lead. Simply put, that is a lead which will go all the way round the vertical pot and under the starter to the pole, so you don't see it... Instead of just going straight across the timing cover.

A short lead is used in tandem with the original positive from battery to solenoid.

On mine the earth lead is bifurcated at the battery terminal, one leg into the harness and one to the front of the engine.
You are supposed to cut off the original to the engine and place the new one under the terminal with the remainder of the original harness.... That's horrible and of no electrical advantage. Keep the original bifurcated leads if that's what you have. If the terminals are clean and there is no green rot in the cable, it will be fine.

You probably have a short cable going from a bolt in the crankcases near the breather body, to a nut on the back of a footrest hanger bolt?

Yes I agree but it needs a crimper to redo the ends again.. These were allegedly for a 95 same as 93 but I wonder if because Slob chased him its just a set he had made sent. These were gratis to me but would rather not cut if can be used on a bike they fit tbh.

I will look into crimping see if someone can do it first.
