[QUOTE=350TSS;547134– but no actual M900 progress.[/QUOTE]
I couldn't agree less... That's good progress. It does bug me when folk call it OCD when they have a bit of a tidy up. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a crippling affliction which ruins lives and often prevents sufferers from even leaving their own homes. Good workshop management and general tidiness is just sensible. Sorry I know you were only joking, I should have let it go... It's okay, I can handle this..

I still don't really have room to put the bike lift in the middle of the garage as I need as its up against the wall right now as to why all the photos one side. Hoping with another tidy up soon as its pretty much together so can collect all the not needed parts together tidy. Then buy some more tidy bins and make my garage efficient with more sockets and better lighting.

The area between and below the carbs and the battery is available but I felt that the co positioning of various wiring bits, MU v2, starter solenoid would not be best put just where the float bowls could drip inflammable liquid onto them. Also positioned there would restrict air flow to the rear cylinder.

Whilst thinking about the wiring I was concerned to make it as easy as possible and decided I would use the horn mount as a common earth point for Battery, regulator rectifier V2 unit and run wires back there from all points. I initially thought I would use a bit of SS studding so the horn would be mounted below the the lug welded to the frame and the common earth would extend upwards about 40mm with the capability of attaching all the earths to it. In the back of my mind I remember reading somewhere that SS is actually not that good an electrical conductor, checked out the internet and sure enough it is far from an ideal material so some 14mm hexagon brass bar was ordered so I can manufacture the part

Next week I will hopefully finish the battery box mold, finish the catch tank mold, start on the mold for the CF headlight and think where I am going to mount the starter solenoid, unfortunately I am running out of room and it may have to go behind the battery and under the float bowls, in which case I will need another CF mold to provide a cover for it.
