Looking forward to the build thread.,,
Its all about the excitement and enjoyment and look what I did I thoroughly enjoyed doing my s4 into a s4r and that's what started my passion for restorations

Suzuki GT50 1979 paid £200 owes me £900 value £1000 plus
Yamaha XT500D 1977 paid £200 for some bits. Total so far almost done £3500 value £3-4k
Yamaha TT500 1977 paid £2000 and owes me £2700 value is £3-3500
Yamaha SS50 1975 paid £650 for basic bike missing bits Total bar MOT and registration £2500 value £3k plus
Yamaha Fs1e 1975 paid £1500 2 weeks ago, in 3 weeks it owes me £2500 and more to go
value will be £3-4k
Point is these are investments and passions as long as you choose to do it and look after them. I will get my money back I hope but I do it for love of the bike and turning turds into diamonds.
