Most ppl can't understand my desire to put bikes back to standard, I've no idea why I do it, i just think 90% of bikes look better as designed (well the ones I own).

Then again I do have a BSA Gold Star thats so modded I've made most of the special parts for it or modified those that look standard, so perhaps I've got it out of my system.

Quite like the Cafe look, and I really like the original "Street Fighter" look on early GSXRs as well, can't say either is anything I'd do, just like the look if it's done well.

Because it's purely form over function and it looks awful.

Is it much higher then a standard seat cowl or standard seat height?
The cowl was sourced in the US from I think choppers 13 if memory serves.

Take a long hard look at the Aprilia RSV featured here...

http://www.bikeexif.com/aprilia-rsv-taimoshan

and then tell me if you honestly still feel the same way

We knew nothing about more weight over the front wheel, clip ons were so you could get your chin on the tank and out of the wind.

It is the oringinal seat the cowl mounts using the oringinal mounting points for the standard cowl it had to be this way because she who must be obeyed likes to go for a spin from time to time. And yes the cowl is higher than the oringinal in order to make it look more like the cafe racer stile which mighten be to everybodys but theres not accounting for poor taste!!!

Honest opinion, it's a hideous mish mash of styles and eras. A nice bike ruined.

Fair enough... we'll have to agree to differ massively on that one

Looking good mate, are you planning on fitting clip-ons?

Suggestion for you I think it would look well with black wheels and satin black (wrap) the rear grap handles and frame section to the side panels

BTW, Glad you kept the Lancia wish I had finished mine.

Cheers Vince
