Yea, and the original Monster concept/prototype was a water cooled 888. Only reason the production version was air cooled was because they had a stack of 900SS engines going spare and the Cagiva group needed Ducati to actually make some cash quickly!

Had a ride out today, owned the bike for almost 6 months and covered only 45 miles, so managed to get about 120 today, hoping for a service before the weekender
