Dude in a full-face racing helmet with dark visor, cladded up in full leathers. Fair enough. No problems there. Tasteful colours too.

He was on a Piaggio MP3.
Question 1: Would you rather come of your Monster in leather Jacket and Jeans or a MP3 in full leathers?

Question 2: How fast was he on it? are some of these not 50hp or something?
If so could maybe give your jeans a run for their money!

The real W4nkers are the kids round here with 125 Trail bikes and Berghaus jackets and Tracksuit bottoms and trainers! Oh and me when I go to work in me jeans!

Hmm....seems daft I always wear leathers/gloves boots and lid when riding.

But out on the mountain bike downhilin'g in Wales last weekend I had shorts and tee shirt/nylon jacket on,even my helment has a bloody big dent in the polystyrene when I fell off a few yeras ago but think noting of coming down a hillside at 30+MPh strange???

I won't go out without leathers, in summer it's proper Hein Gerick leather jacket with back protector and hard bits. In winter I must admit it's a material jacket with padding because it's warm. I don't think I ride as fast in winter because the roads are a bit tricky and I'd rather be warm!

No just sensible! I had full kit not race stuff admittedly but I'm damned if I'm going to get more scars because I didn't want to look OTT.

I rode around on a 1972 CB125 for 6 months in a 2 piece Dainese race suit, sidi vertigo boots, dainese race gloves and a race rep Shoei helmet. I fell off that bike more in 6 months than I have in the last 6 years so was dead chuffed I was well protected even if that kit cost about 3 times as much as the bike

To be honest its all good for a laugh but you cant win. If your seen riding an R1 in jeans and trainers your a n0b, if youre seen riding a scooter wearing leathers your a n0b

I can assure you that 30mph on a mini moto is seriously hurtful too.

I say applaud anyone who makes the extra effort in the morning to put on their leathers. The general public think we all look like power rangers anyway.

The general public beat on bikers enough, surely we should show some solidarity with scooter man cos he's probably been riding twenty years and has a fireblade or a 1098s in the garage.

Speaking as someone who rides to work then has to occasionally scoop one of us up off the tarmac; I would much rather look a n0b but get up and walk away as look like a pizza delivery guy with an arm or a leg (or worse) on backwards!! But we've all gone to work in jeans so I suppose it's a matter of choice.

PS the worst non fatal injuries come from not wearing decent gloves in my experience.
