Gary, are you saying that the post Y2K tanks with the more rounded seat recess are all the same shape, whether on injection or carb models ?
If so, thats good to know, cos my tank is the later type, so that would mean that any of the later injection tanks should fit the seat that I have. |

I must really have a look at this in the fleash. Gordon just a thought... Could a seat upholster not sort it and recover a seat (sculpt / add something to make the gap less obvious? I also wondered about this gap . Don't panic my bikes not perfect and I'm fitting bits that are not 100% perfect but hey that's my call . The main thing is you can now ride it safely and it works! I'm sure a small gap will not prevent that so please don't feel bad this subject interests me I thought about this injected metal tank or kept looking at ie tanks by accident so I am curious. |
