I didn't mean to insult the poor bike - Just think that its easy to overstep the mark when bolting on blingy bits?

The standard blue s4r with the white stripe is a classy looking bike IMHO

But the modded one is a bit tarty (again IMHO)

yep its easy to just buy bolt on bits. a bike won 3rd prize at the MOB event and it was just a new m1100 with a lots of costly parts bolted on(and a dealer bike)
lucky the 1st went to a 696 with a stunning paint job and not lots of bolt on's(good result)

i think that it is too easy sometimes to throw bits onto a bike,
its harder to look at the bike and make adjustments which are IMHO easier on the eye,
the original bike looks superb in its original colours, the colour scheme for the additional bits don't work, bits of gold/red spattered about, the wheels would have looked better white, i love white wheels.
My bikes red and white, so i buy bits which are in that colour to compliment,
not just change to any colour which is avaliable at the time.

(wouldn't mind seeing the other side of the bike, to see what colour hoses hes gone for?)

Agree with general consensus, not my cup of tea, there are a few bits I do like, exposed belts, open clutch etc. but the colours don't quite work in IMO,

Stevoooooo - as for another option for the belts, will add it to the list But do still reckon I'm gonna stick with fully exposed.

P.S 5 days till tank comes back from sprayers.....woo hoo!

You seem very confrontational from the few posts ive seen you put up, including the comments you made on your phantom 'for sale' post last week.

Surely if people want to add some humour to a marque that we share and all have a passion for then it doesnt have to be so readily challenged (agressively) back?

And if two members, with the same make of bike, registered on the same website, posting at the same time of day, on a subject they share a similar interest in just happen to have similar views, is that really a problem that you need to highlight, or is the problem really that you don't like people commenting that dont agree with your own views?

Pram, toys, everywhere, springs to mind.

if thats aimed at me - then yes i do believe that honesty is the right way to go,
but, i dont find that bike aesthetically pleasing, and i would prefer it in its standard form, just maybe the tail chop .......
