The new Thruxton RS looks good, if your wanting old school looks and modern performance?

That's handy. You can weigh it it in if you need a couple of bob quickly.

I had a ride on a Triumph Speed Twin. I was amazed. Plenty of power an handled well. My dealer leant me a street scrambler when My Multi went for its first service. Nice bike. great for B roads.

I have had 4 Hinkley Triumphs and they are great bikes. I still have my 2000 955i Speed Triple which I don't think I could ever sell, it's such a fun bike to ride, probably my favourite bike.

Interesting thoughts as I keep pondering on getting something else- could never sell the Monster though.
So far I’ve tried an RnineT, a Harley ‘48’ and a Ducati Scrambler but I quite like the look of the Triumph Speed Twin although like pretty much every modern bike they too have a small fuel tank (my ‘96 Yamaha 600 manages 200+ miles on its 19 litre tank) and seem over laden with electronics (ride by wire throttle topping the Triumph off) which I wonder the longevity of if I were to keep one for a similar twenty years plus like I have owned my Monster.

One thing I will say, if the twins are anything like the triples they’ll be good for putting miles on. My best mates Dad has a ‘94 900 triple that he bought when it was about six months old- it’s currently coming up to 100k on the clock but it’s a heavy lump and at 85 years old he’s beginning to find it a bit heavy for town use so he uses his 600 Yamaha for daily local scoots

Just don’t think I would ride monster that much if I get new bike. Have two trials bikes in garage with monster and no other room ! Also feels shame if bikes not ridden |
