Is "ten bobbing" a trans-decimal version of thru'penny bitting??...
I thought it was half a crown and sixpence

You could call it 4 bobbing too.. The 20p coin has corners...

I can actually remember a shilling's worth of chips feeding our whole family. That's 5p.!

Another Glasgow monster owner - welcome on board

We might have enough of us on here to organise a Scottish "fish n chip" run............

PS - is that a cheeky R8 in the garage, your brand loyalty is impressive!

Welcome too from Moray. That's the Avalanche Shelter just passed Strathcarron in the 5th pic. My job takes me through the right hand bore. With regards to your're mirror maybe the left/right mirror mounts have been fitted the wrong way round? The left hand mirror should have a left hand thread fitted which has the effect of making it tighter as you progress forward. It normally has a punch mark or paint dot to identify it..

Monsters seem to be surprisingly uncommon up here( place is swarming with multis and panigales ) so more on the road can only be a good thing.

Been a while since I've been up in Plockton or Strathcarron, perhaps if it stops raining for more than a day I'll get out a decent distance.

The SF did have left hand thread on left mirror , but these are both R/H , so dunno ? It's tight now

Strathcarron self service station saved my bacon! Fuel light came on at the roundabout on the way to Gairloch , as I was heading for Aultbea , so I got fuel at Strathcarron....doubt I would have made Gairloch as it took nearly 16L

Furthest I've got this year has been Oban, over on the red ferry and straight into Argyllshire.

I know that my S2R wont get me from Stranraer back home on one tank of fuel, but at least it got me within half a mile.

Strange. Maybe there's someone out there with two left hander's? Result on the fuel though. It's almost military-style (I am btw) planning required when you head of to the west and north. Something to consider if you fancy doing the 500 sometime..
