Yes, but you were in a hurry.
We passed it going the other way to what my bike is facing, so we only saw the back of the sign... I nipped back for this shot.

I always liked Cocking Hill, which sounds like a James May expletive.

Last time I rode through it (nestled in the South Downs, on the way down to Goodwood), the sign on entering the village just said Cocking. Maybe the locals thought that that plain Cocking sounds less like a James May expletive and changed the name!

And just off the Usk road in South Wales is Bully Hole Bottom.

police sealed off the entrance to the farm on the B4235 Usk Road, in the tiny village of Bully Hole Bottom, as forensic teams combed the area for evidence.

I was going to post that one but every time I pass it I forget to take a picture

Anyone who likes weird and wonderful place names, check out the Meaning of Liff (and the Deeper Meaning of Liff, AfterLiff ...) http://liff.hivemind.net/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Meaning_of_Liff https://afterliff.com/

"In life and, indeed, in liff, there are many hundreds of common experiences, feelings, situations and even objects which we all know and recognize, but for which no words exist. This text uses place names to describe some of these meanings."

Wetwang, one of the Monsteristi place names spotted above, is, of course, a moist penis.

These books are guaranteed to reduce me to PMSL ROFL incoherent mirth. I was making up/collecting new Liff words long before the official After Liff book e.g. Darjeeling - the vehicle in front of you is Darjeeling when it is going slow enough to make you want to overtake, but fast enough that safe overtaking is impossible. (Obviously less relevant to Monsteristi than to car drivers or me back in my 125 riding days when I coined this one). Wellingborough, the depression in the bottom of a glass or mug fills with water and then showers you on removing it from the dishwasher.
