The 42NM figure for the sump plug is carried over to other engines as well (also in the Haynes manual).
I unfortunately used this figure when tightening my sump bolt a couple of years ago. At the time I thought it felt very tight, double checked the figure and kept going......thread completely stripped and had to fit a helicoil to fix the issue. BE WARNED! |
