Went out again after work for an hour. Not too far but far enough not to get in trouble if things went wrong. No worrys on that front. Starting to feel really comfortable and letting the new rear tyre bed in. Turns in quite nice with dropped forks and new bars.

Only thing I think I will change is the 14T back to 15T as I dont like cruising at 5000rpm. It feels like it wants another gear to change up to. I guess thats only relevant if you use motorways or straight long runs.

Getting a lot of popping on throttle shutdown,so may try other ecu that suits the cans. Its a 996 one doe anyone see any probs with that ???

Otherwise Im happy to go riding again.

The popping may be an air leak in the exhaust

Well after the weekends riding I feel its pretty much sorted. I had no issues other than I will replace the rear pads as I don't know the history of them in the caliper. Gets a shift on with 14T but I dont like doing the motorways but then who does. Very good around corners and very smooth. Im ready for the weekender and it can't come soon enough.

My thanks to Capo who come up trumps with the clutch parts I need. I wont be changing the hub until after the weekender just in case I have problems getting it off. Plus I really need to get new plates else no point really.

So its all good then. And I have a new number plate to finish off the rear.

Cheers then all.

PROJECT S4R IS OVER bar some lttle touches at some point.

Ahh those little gaskets that are a git to put in pipes. Sounds ok though it keeps Caroline awake.

Guys I have redone the pics in this thread as I mucked about with my photobucket account and also for panther whom it may seem is thinking of doing a similar project.

It took ages to redo pics and I may try and find some more detailed ones at some time.
