Hey up .........thanks to the sharp eye of Marc ( aka skid-Marc ) we have avoided the embarrassment of turning up at the lockgate on Sunday and finding it shut !

Laura has confirmed she does not open until 10th January but would welcome us all on the 14th, hope that's acceptable to everyone.

I will put that one down as a near miss and owe Marc a coffee and possibly a bacon butty too for the heads up on that one, hope to see you all on the 14th , 10.30 ish, 4 wheels or 2, all welcome.

Can't do the 14th, it's the Annual Pallex Dinner Dance Saturday night at the De Vere in Nottingham so I'll not be in a fit state for anything Sunday morning!

Just a reminder that the first meeting of 2018 will be next Sunday 14th as the Lock Gate cafe is closed this weekend.

Drove past the Lockgate yesterday noticed it was closed but assumed it would be open for the weekend. Thanks for the heads up.

So, here we are again, first Sunday of the month, weather looks promising but cold, hopefully not cold enough for the gritters!

Meet at the lockgate ,10.30 Sunday 4th.....plan is to put some flesh on the bones of the planned rides this year.
