Servicing in & around East Anglia.
Hey guy's.
Has anyone out there tried anyone else for servicing in the Cambs/Suffolk area other than St Neots? I've seen adverts in the local rag for Bob Clarke's in Wymondham (part of what used to be Chris clarke I guess) & Maxmoto in Bury StEdmunds. I wanna save a few pennies if poss (1 income & toddler etc) & it's nearly due it's 12000 service ( & it's a 97 model!!!) I would do it myself but being an Aircraft fitter I do That kind of thing all day anyway + my littleun would give FAR too much help. Cheers. Rob. |

I would not use St Neots, unless I was very rich and didn't mind throwing my money away.
If anyone knows any good places for servicing at a fair price shout em out! |

As tried & tested
undefinedHad my Bike serviced By Carl last week & what a difference. I've fallen in love with my bike all over again.
Now if I can just find a magical cure for the carb icing (pro fst helps heaps).......... Recommended guy's he doesn't charge by the hour just fixed prices. that plus delivery to your door. I'm a convert. |

Why don't you try Veloce at Swardeston, near Norwich? They are the authorised Ducati dealer for the area and did an excellent job on my bike earlier this year. If we don't support good Ducati people like this then they will all go out of business because there is a terrible price war going on and all that will be left will be Honda and Suzuki. Veloce's tel no. is 01508 571070.

Bob Clarke, Wymondham (01953600710) knows what he's doing. He still runs the m/c garage across the drive from what was his brother Chris Clarke's Ducati dealership. Carl Harrison (01379852020) was Chris Clarke's head spannerman. Carl is a very enthusiastic and careful mechanic, and he's working very hard to build up a business in a rather 'off the beaten track' place called Harleston. I have no personal experience of servicing at Veloce, Swardeston (01508 571070), but as they are a Ducati dealership I assume you'll pay more (to keep them in nice carpets, etc.) In each case your bike will be serviced by guys who worked at Chris Clarke's (read: Ducati specialists who went bust a year or two ago - but not because they couldn't service bikes right), so go see each of them, get quotes, and decide who you like.

I think they are brilliant - but Swindon to Norwich for a service, seems a bit far to me!
