Finally solved ,, the new 23mm crush washer that I had installed on the mesh filter had broken into 2 parts , so it was the reason for the continuing leak ,, I have replaced it with a 23mm copper crush washer and now it is not leaking any more ,, so next step get the engine running ...

Hmmm.
Maybe the trick is to lube the crush washer before installing ??

It might have helped to anneal the ali washer as it was obviously too brittle for the job.
I don't really get why they use ali for crush washers when copper is so superior?

Ive done loads of these on all the Ducatis i have had and others ive serviced over the years , this is first time I have had a problem ,, but its ok now

Think i will use copper ones again much better
