Definite improvement on what was already a great custom build. I can see what the guy was trying to do with it but those tank graphics are too much for the tank shape imho and the headlight and bars are in need of work. ST type bars are ugly, get some nice riser clip ons! There's not many of those so called cafe racer conversions that work but thats 98% there but that is. Would have been better with the fuel injection, that's a Luddite conversion but hey old school!?

As I understand it the build happens because the electronics on the donor bike go bad and the expense of fault finding and replacement makes the bike unviable to repair and/or cheap second hand. Electronic obsolescence.
Conversion to carburettors does away with the need for an ECU and the myriad of sensors needed to meter the fuel for fuel injection to work properly. An ignitech unit at c£110, a set of chinese flatsides at c£300 and a Hall effect ignition trigger plus some work making up manifolds and mounting plates for the ignition trigger and you have a workable bike again. Laudable recycling.

Looks good, liking the new seat unit and, I have to say I prefer the silver.

Still, couldn't cope with the lack of belt guards though...

Lovely bike, I fully approve. However I do agree with Darren about the bars, riser clip-ons would tidy up the top yolk to headlight zone that looks a bit unresolved as is. But I really like the overall simplicity of the look, 95%.

I like that. Better in silver. Something like an MV Brutale light would be nice

No belt covers on that motor gives me a bad feeling though.

It went for 5 3 in the end and thats a good price really for a modded St4. A lot of work done on it of course, but that would buy you a lot of better Monster otherwise.
