Engine colour paint 695
Hi,
The paint/laque on my 695 engine is peeling off on some places, and i want to re-paint these pieces with, of course, the same grey colour. Which paintcolor or number is the match for this? Greetings from The Netherlands Ed |

I had a 750 with grey covers that had been touched up and even though the colour was a very good match it still looked very laque lustre you might say.
I hate grey anyway, so I thoroughly prepped the entire cover(s) and sprayed them with VHT Cast Iron engine enamel. So when I started taking the old finish off I inevitably found that the corrosion that feked it in the first place had gone far further than the previous repairs. So my advice would be to not try and patch repair, but do the entire case/cover. Even if you can find the correct drab old grey! That VHT paint is really good stuff and the Cast Iron colour is not a mile off the original but has a metallic glint to it which looks very classy and suites the Ducati down to the ground.
