No key codes availbel for UK registered bikes

Spoke with Ducati UK and moto Rapido but they have no answers ,, other than ordering up a complete set of locks and keys but that would take 2 weeks from Italy ,, and the fuel tank lock will have to be forced out as it cant be removed unless its open ,

im now at Ducati Clermont Ferrard they can accesss every Ducati ever sold in France and most of EU for key codes , but mine is UK and due to Brexit they cannoit get that data ,,, Ducati UK are not part of this database and they dont have the codes anyway

The Key and cutting code is matched to VIN number , so Im completely bolloxed ,,They say I should contact Bologna factory they will probably have UK codes ????

I have been to 5 specialist locksmiths but none can help

Brexit sounds like a convenient excuse to me. Those records existed before brexit and came from Ducati so should still exist and wont change.

Records which will have no doubt originated from Ducati Italy when they built the bikes!

I dont think they give a toss, I asked same thing in Toulouse but some helpful independent locksmiths told me same story , If the vehicle is EU they can get code 90% of the time . Ducati UK told me they cannot get access either ,, I have to talk with Bologna or find a spare key or code...

Its irrelevant now Im not feeling at all well, my Diabetes is very high and im feeling dehydrated even after 6 litles of water , thats not a good thing so I heading to Dieppe now need to get help I have had enough of France

You know what they say about France? And it's just quotation btw and not an opinion, it's great except for the French!

Don't you have a spare key at home Jerry?
If so it's easy to get your blank cut from that.
My 750SSie only came with one key so I swiftly got a blank and the local DIY cut it for me.
Only having one key is asking for trouble, but then you seem to get it without asking!!

Im Now home but had to spend 2 days in Hospital to try and stabilise my diabetes,,,,,which is still out of control but the doctors say its due to them changing my meds 2 months ago it made everything bad from having excellent control for last 17 years . imm not happy

, I found a spare key but the damage to the bike is worse than I thought , but it can be fixed, also got some work to do on the trailer and van,,, but I am low on confidence at the moment .
