Pictures / photos in posts

Tried putting a post together today detailing the project I'm working on mixing a 900ss with various Monster parts.
Wanted to add photos to it as a picture is worth a 1000 words.
Try as I might, the pictures wouldn't upload, so gave up altogether.
I know a number of other members have struggled to post pictures / photos .... can this be made easier to achieve ??? Please .... it would make the forum an even better place to visit !!!

Pictures need to be hosted outside the forum.
I use https://imgbb.com/ That one is good as you don't have to resize your pictures and it's free.
Upload your picture, then you'll see a page with all the codes. Select BBCode fully linked.
Then copy and paste the line onto your post.

As to making it easier, we have a team working hard on a brand new website which will be bang up to date. It'll be a while yet and you'll be warned when it's imminent. Change is a comin'.

All, Thanks for your replies, and it's great to know that things are progressing with website updates and upgrades. Looking forward to seeing the results of all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes which all too often get ignored.
Take care all, and as ever, keep the shiny side up....

I've usually avoided making a post if I needed to post images, I hate the faff. Saying that, a week or so ago someone posted pictures of step by step instructions to post pictures using www.postimages.org. They were excellent so I posted something for sale this week and it worked a treat. Really easy. I can't find the post now though.....
something like: save the pictures on your pc (where you remember they are!) log into - www.postimages.org / sign up / choose hotlink for forums / click on copy icon / paste into forum. I'm a luddite really.... so you can do this on a smartphone of course.
