Well welcome to the forum, always good to be getting somebody new drop in. Sorry to hear of your problem with the BBS unit (no idea what that is), but hope is all well now. Here's to many trouble free Monster miles in the future.

Hello and welcome Alan.
There's a handful of like minded folks your end of the country who get together every now and then for a jolly ride around.

I think you may mean the ABS? Should be an easy fix and you'll soon be eating miles..

The Scottish McCati clan has grown a little more, welcome to the madness

I had heard of occasional water problems with these on a few models but it mostly seemed to just be condensation on the connecter block rather than a full failure.

Is the NSR500 wish list or have you actually got one?

welcome aboard.

From what I could tell troubleshooting JP’s 821 indicators a while ago, BBS
is crypticly ‘black box system’, so essentially the chassis ‘brain’ like the ECU is the engine ‘brain’

Welcome.

Welcome aboard NSR500, there are indeed a few of us about in the Central Belt, our “Head Honcho” is from West Lothian….I expect he’ll be along soon !
A favourite run for some of us is Biggar (The Coffee Spot) ,Moffat , Dumfries then back via Thornhill…..hopefully see at some stage…..and not pushing it up the road !

Thanks Rob, I never knew bikes had black boxes.
Ironic how shortening something to initials, presumably to save time and ink, simply takes more time and words to explain.

Yup, thats pretty much it, the modules all need to talk to each other and mine isnt talking to anyone else, hence limp mode.
