Morning from Sutton Coldfield

Hi all,

This isn’t the intro Mail I thought I would be writing.

I booked an appointment with a stealer on Weds to see a nice 821, pretty much exactly what I wanted and I set out quite buoyant and ready to buy.

When I got there (after an hour journey) I was greeted with ‘oh we just sold it’. Crest fallen or what.

So back to the drawing board and scouring web ads.

I’ll get there, I’ve had a few bikes, Pantah and 851 included and I liked the test ride I had on another 821, so I’m going in with my eyes open.

Catch you later

Tim

There's an 821 just come up on eBay, new unregistered for 10k - I'm out of touch with new bike prices so no clue if that's decent or not. It's in Glasgow though, so a way from Sutton Coldfield!

Thanks mate,

There’s no shortage of 821s, the one I was interested in was a grey, 2017, 800m and under 7k. The sweet spot for me.

Onward and upward.

OK,

Just put the money down an 821, 6000 miles, Ducati approved used 12 month warranty, Ohlins rear, Adreani forks, Termigonis and upmap. Pretty pleased. All original parts supplied too (incl a low seat).

Only downside is it needs to go through the workshop for a service, MoT and rear tyre and there is a 3 week backlog, so a little more patience required. Keeping fingers crossed for a workshop cancellation.

...and finally...

https://flic.kr/p/2mm9H2k

after a nearly 5 week wait, we have a Ducati owner fully returned to the fold.

If there's anyone in the Sutton Coldfield area that feels like meeting up to talk nonsense about bikes, I'm game.

Tim
