The local independent Ducati guy I use has never seen a failed belt in over 20 years. He says most problems in that area come from trouble with the rollers more than anything else. So perhaps a quick check over every two years is prudent.

Hello - can I take it from this that the Belt replacement interval on my '03 620ie remains at 2 years ??
