First time Ducati owner
Hi all - Been riding a while but never owned a Ducati. Until now! Recently swapped my beloved Repsol Fireblade for a 2015 Monster 821 and I love it! The noise alone sold it for me. Also enjoying the much more comfortable riding position.
Recently swapped the tank stickers that had started to peel with some retro inspired replacements Also ordered some additional bling for the frame caps, brake reservoir and oil filler and will be getting a rad guard, bar end mirrors and axle sliders shortly too. Any other suggested mods, most welcome! |

From sunny Smoke-on-Stench, almost my old home town, I say almost as I'm from Newcastle Under Lyme and no-one knows where that is! I spent a lot of time in and around Stoke in my youth and still have good friends there.
Some cracking roads right on your doorstep as well. Hello and welcome !

Welcome aboard!
That's an interesting change of direction bike wise Asking for suggestions from the forum for further ideas to mod the bike is taking a risk! Modifying a monster can become on obsession. The level of accessories available is mind boggling. Exhaust.... Carbon for just about every part...wheels...seat... Ecu....handlebars...rearsets....etc! Enjoy the madness

Welcome to the forum Chris. Plenty of help available here but just don't ask about oil or tyres.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Yeah - it is a bit of a different direction, but I injured my shoulde rlast year and was finding the weight on the bars on the Blade a bit too painful. So the time has come for something a bit more sedate and comfortable. Happily though I've discovered, the Monster isn't as sedate as I was expecting. Which is good! Quote:

Just what I was going to say
Maybe best not to go down that road Chris, but a nice bit of carbon does suit these.. maybe one or two highlight silver carbon pieces??
