This sounds very similar and as frustrating as an issue I had on the 696 I had a few years ago. Intermittent starting and dashboard / neutral light malarky..... eventually I stripped it down to reveal the battery ....found both leads had loose connections, whether they had vibrated loose I'll never know, it was fitted with an Optimate connection cable.
Anyway after greasing and tightening it was never again a problem. My current Evo has fairly regular neutral light issues.... especially after a winter languishing in the garage. Welcome to the Forum....stick with the bike, it's cracking ride once you've got it set-up to suit. |
