I have been thinking along similar lines Darren, but I was thinking that maybe the pin has developed grooves where the rollers track and the lip is causing it to jam...Although probably unlikely?.
If the pin has gotten so far and refused to budge any further, would it be worth trying to bash it back the other way? If it has got a groove or busted rollers jamming it, it might go in the other direction easier?? If all else fails I think the only answer would be spark erosion, if that is available in Thailand?

I recall getting a shaft out of some needle bearings that had rusted, kin evil job that was too. A quick job at the weekend that spread over a few days . The things had working lip seals still so nothing got past them, cut some bits out of the seals and the fill of old grease and rust didn't let anything seep in.
I ended up getting so frustrated that I ended up mullahing the end caps and getting some of the bearings out... which got the shaft out with only medium levels of violence but left the bearing outer cases in which was another one of those painful saga's of destruction to remove using a very small wickedly sharp chisel welded onto a long bar and big hammer. Took about 15 minutes to put it all back together

Hi darren ,, yes its lying on blocks of wood on its side so the penetrating fluids have a chance of penetrating by gravity ,,, im going to have to get the whole engine and swingarm to a machine shop with a big press or something ,,,if i can borrow a pickup truck ,,
once we get the pin out im gonna put new bearings in and measure with a micrometer then maybe get the pin turned on a lathe down a couple of thou if required

got the engine and swing arm down to Chatris place today what a sclap,, bloody heavy,,and awkward my wife and I struggled to get it into the back of the ISUZU MUX ,,chatris guys got the 6 rubber cush drive bushes out of the rear wheel in double quick time and fixed the dent in the front rim both with no damage so i have confidence they will get the shaft pin out ,,,then i can repaint the engine it does not look to bad anyway but a refresh and valve shim job

no progress , they got it all on a 20 Ton press but no movement ,, the machine shop is making a tool and jig to help matters ,,

they made up a solid brass mandrel and a little frame to hold the engine square on the 20 ton press
it took 18 ton pressure but now its out the pivot pin is fine but the 4 roller bearings are rusted , they will be replaced swing arm is fine and off to polisher ,,, Chatri reckons that every 2-3 years the pivot needs cleaning and greasing its the humidity not pressure washers that gets the water in
