I’m going to try the new metzeler m9rr in spring the m7rr were the best thing I’ve ever used on road and track on my daytona. Got pilot road 4’s on from when I bought my evo and they lack something in the handling dept

I’m on pilot road 5’s. Incredible tyre.
Also quite liked the metzeler m7rr and conti road attacks |

How do the 5’s compare to the 4’s?

I’ve got 4’s on my vfr. The 4’s are slower to turn in and less sport oriented. The 5’s are incredibly grippy in all weathers faster to turn, more stable than m7rr’s.

If you do the odd trackday, the 5s are reckoned to be a second a lap faster than the 4s, round a one minute circuit for a quick rider in the dry.

R4s on mine too atm, and just Dandy for my 'Senior' use. Compared to the Pirellis that were on when i got the EvO, they are like Night & Day

The Pirelli RCII do seem to suit Ducati and would be hard to beat in the dry but they do seem to need heat to work best and give great feedback and grip but don't have much tread so not so good in the wet or cold. Otherwise recommended but probably not a good all rounder, maybe the Angels would be a better all round choice or some other makes?

I'm a huge fan of the PR4s (had them on my 696). PR5s will be going on the evo next, they're pretty much universally praised as far as I can tell.

just my opinion ,had BT's Had corsa's had angel gt's ,now on rd'4's had rd3's and rd5's gone back to rd4's they don't lose shape as bad as the rd5's and I get really nice grip and longevity from the rd series but 4's are my pick , ducati 1100s and I do love the twistys maybe a bit to much lol * )
