Everything to play for.
2018 was the 25th anniversary of the Ducati Monster. As I co-hosted the Weekender in that year I thought it appropriate to introduce a Concours d' Elegance Trophy to mark the occasion. The first winner was Albie with his painstakingly restored 1993 M900.. Very fitting.
Last year no-one showed up with what could be called a concours bike, even though there were Monsters there only months old and fresh from the factory, but that's not in the spirit of the award, so it was not presented in 2019. Since it is not yet widely known that there is a Concours d' Elegance prize for a Monster, I thought I would give it a plug. It doesn't have to be a 1993 model, nor even a restored Monster, so long as it is in as near as possible "factory condition" for that year and model of Monster. You have to be in it to win. It's judged and awarded at the Weekender and has to be seen to run.. So no unloading it from a trailer round the corner and wheeling it in!! Bring your Concours Monster to the Weekender next May. http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=57860 If your Monster is not concours, it is still very desirable and could still win a prize if enough vote for it. I am still chuffed to bits that I won the coveted Bike of the Year trophy in 2017. It went to Buzzbomb in 2018 and to Pezz this year. It's also presented at the Weekender... Get my drift? http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=57860 If you have done the decent thing and heavily modified your Monster, there has always been a Best Modified award. Next year it will be extra special with a new dedicated annually engraved trophy... Still in the making and under wraps, it's well worth going to a special effort for. Still plenty of room at The Rossett Hall Hotel.. .. It's on May 1st to 3rd. http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=57860
