S2R discs
26,000 miles - fitted with TRW MCB648SI sintered pads.
However having just looked again at the advisory notes on the current MOT I must have imagined the reference to the discs! What it does say is that both the front and rear pads are close to the minimum limit and that the front wheel bearings have slight free play. So I need to measure the disc thickness and check them against the dimension stamped on the rotor - given that they aren't warped, at what point would they need to be replaced? Martin |

I think the minimum thickness is 4.5mm? It should be etched on the disc or carrier somewhere.
Use organic pads for better brakes and better disc condition. If changing to organic pads use them all round, front and rear.
