matt black paint restore

Hi, Does anyone know how to restore matt black paint after fuel splashes?
I was filling with a funnel from a can and splashed the paintwork on the fuel tank in a few places. It now has marks on it like the fuel maybe attacked the matt finish. Would it work to T-cut it or should I definitely not do that? Any ideas?

Definitely don’t t-cut it!
If you google, caring for matt paint, there’ll be loads of info from detailers and the like. This from autoglym,

If your serious about future protection........ ouch, the price!
