Got the engines swapped over this weekend, the bike is nearly whole again! Will soon be time to start her up







Wasn't a fan of the clear rear light on it so my mum got me a red LED one for christmas so got that fitted today as well along with indicators



need to adjust the indicatos as they aren't sitting right!





Hopefully running for next weekend...

I bought an Aprillia RSV Millie R carbon fibre mud guard on Monday which arrived Friday so fired it on last night







My sister bought me wing mirrors for christmas so put them on yesterday as well:





So today the bike was booked in for it's mot at 12:00 so i got up early as i had to sort out the bikes idle, once i done that i discovered at 10:30 that the rose joints for the floating caliper were knackered so i ran about like a headless chicken trying to get some and luckily managed to get some and dust boots for them

It's always a good feeling when your bike passes its MOT. Mine passed yesterday, though I had to change the number plate as it was too small - by 10mm on the width, 15mm height. I walked to Halfrauds, got a plate made whilst I waited for £15 and gave it to the garage. The tester then gave me a fail with a pass on retest. Crazy!

Glad to hear you've got the bike sorted out in the end.
Here's hoping for many trouble free miles from now on.

Btw, I assume your comment that you can finally confirm the lightened flywheel is a sarcastic one ? ... I see no difference.

Its quite obvious if you look at the inboard end.

Your Aprilia front mudguard looks not too bad. I assume it goes straight on with no messing as Aprilia's use the same forks. I cant make out what forks you have there though.. Not the standard Sie ones by the looks?

Well done for getting those rose joint boots to fit. I got some for mine. I managed to get the boots on the rose joints and filled them with grease, but couldn't see how it would all work with those long tubes either side where the bolt goes through.. I don't want all that rubber under the bolt head and nut. Seemed to me that if you squashed it all up, the rubber would just jam the rose joint up or cut the rubber and prevent the nut and bolt from clamping up the joint centre properly. Did you cut the tubes off or squash them up?

Come to think of it was the hoop bottom joints that I couldn't get to fit, as there is just not enough room in the clevises even with the tubes cut off.

Soooo I've not updated this for a while! Here's a quick update of last year:

Spare engine covers and wheels powder coated with new Dunlop rubber:





Carbon key surround:



Tank and rear fairn painted in Renault liquid yellow:





Quick release filler cap:




Never got round to fitting the engine covers last year so currently doing that just now! Also need a new clutch so priced up a slipper which I'll probably have to save up a wee bit for so going to buy clutch plates for the time being .

Hopefully keep the updates a bit more regular!
