That’s a good photo’ Nasher. Did you get to ride pillion when you came along, or was it replaced with a car by then?
Regarding the administration, there isn’t a rush for most of it, so take it step by step and keep notes. It took me five months to get probate and everything settled up for Mum’s Estate and I’m told that’s quick.

Thanks D.
Unfortunately the BSA went when my older brother came along. Don't worry, I'm aware how long all the admin will take, and have resigned myself to a long drawn out process. The estate will be difficult to even value before probate can be applied for, but I've started the process. Nasher

Thought I'd add some self indulgent images of Mother on another interesting old bike owned by my Father in the 50's
Not sure I should show the one of her on the back of one of My DTs in the 80's as I'm a skinny young lad with hair. An AJS 350 I believe.

Thanks Nasher, that’s brightened my day!
Especially the last one? Your mum looks to have been quite a girl in her day, and clearly very fond of your dad.

Thanks mate.
You’re spot on in both respects. I’m sure I have a photo somewhere of my Father riding my Z1000H round the back garden with my Mother on the back sometime in the 1990’s when they were both in their 60’s, so will try to find it. As an aside, following my ‘DT phase’ I had a short love affair with RD’s, and rebuilt a crashed 350 YPVS with a Mel Lemoto Full Fairing, rearsets, clip-ons etc. My Father crashed it again before I’d had a chance to! I have a small pile of the old Black and white photos from the 1950’s, I’ve had them for over 22 years, since my Father passed away. I’ve been meaning to scan them and share some of the more interesting ones for a while, so will get around to it soon. Nasher
