I think just depends on cost vs condition trade-off at this point having ruled the 620 just fine. anything faster and in the same price region is going to be fair game also the brakes on the s2r specifically? or the brembos on the monsters in general? the 620 I rode yesterday had the strongest brakes of any bike I've ever ridden. true facts on the meaningless bhp numbers. but this is why I wanted to get my hands on one... as the feel is everything. couple of things, the termis are far too loud. going to get hold of some db killers this week and see how it goes.
and despite my understanding that it was being serviced, the oil is vile and it's seemingly gumming the clutch plates as it wouldn't go into gear friday afternoon. just a big clunk and stall as soon as push the lever. was fine once it had warmed up, so I've got some new oil to put in tomorrow and I'll also bleed the clutch line... and hopefully that'll have it as it should be |

Any chance you can do me a favour and take a photo’ of the underside of your petrol tank next time you’ve got it raised? I’m trying to identify a steel injection tank presently fitted to one of my M900 carbies: I think it may be off a 620? Oh, and don’t use the wire prop to hold it up if it’s got more than 1/2 gallon in it. The weight of more fuel twists the hinge and splits the spot welds with consequent leak above the exhaust. An empty plastic oil an works fine, but not when photographing the underside! http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/s...ad.php?t=56532
