That's a lovely example, Kingfisher, looks like new!

It looks like you've already got the tail-tidy and Termis - how about some led indicators?

If you like carbon and billet stuff, have a look at my 1100 Evo - much of the cosmetic stuff is the same as on your bike.

Thanks, it's got r&g tail tidy, crash bungs and termi's. I'm thinking maybe some bar risers and carbon bits to replace the black stripe in the tank. Just gotta wait for the funds.

I've just fitted some CNC Racing risers and can recommend them. They come in various heights but be careful if you go for a different height from standard. You may find that the switch clusters no longer fit within the tank cutouts on full lock. If that happens, just adjust the lock stops until you get the clearance you need.

Don't forget to post pictures of any mods you make!

14T front sprocket makes it much more rideable.
I assume it had a re-map when the Termis were fitted?
Loving my 696!
Welcome to the club Kingfisher.

Not sure how high to get the risers, how much can you get away with without extending cables. Did they come standard with braided brake lines?
It rides pretty good to me so not sure if it's had the 14t front sprocket. I'm not sure if it was mapped or not. It's pretty poppy on the over run without the db killers on but runs beautiful with them on.

I think the 696 is like the 1100S in that it has a lower riser. The Evo's is 20mm higher and, as I understand it, fits with no cabling problems.

This picture shows the difference between the Evo riser and 1100S version, (which I think is the same as yours).

My standard Evo riser measures 58mm from base to top. The CNC Racing one I have is listed as 59mm but, because of an additional spacer, actually raises the bars by about 7mm. So, if your standard riser is a low one, you should be able to add at least another 27mm without encountering any problems.

And yes, the standard brake lines are (black sheathed) braided.

Cheers, I'll have a look at getting the evo riser then. And mines got silver braided lines on so they have been changed too.

I'm not sure why, but only the Evo seems to have the black hoses - the 696, 796 & 1100S have silver pipes. So yours may well still be original.

As Rally says if you're intending to ride solo get rid of the chicken wings, now that will really clean up the rear...
