If your new to the area. You've got entry to the peak district via the penistone area and then the strines road. All lovely smooth tarmac, thanks to re surfacing for the ' tour d yorkshire' cycling the other year. ( some sharp 1st gear bends, be aware!) Pub at strines and further on at Ladybower damn ( of bouncing bomb testing fame) always has bikes parked up.
