Unlikely: Water purity is taken very seriously in Wales.

Eich bod ar y trancedigaeth rhestr. "You are on the death list" Cofiwch, rydym yn llosgi i lawr tai, neu bebyll! Remember, we burn down houses, or tents! Cysgu yn dda yng Nghymru. Sleep well in Wales. At least, I think thats what it says, not being a Welsh speaker! Hope you all have great weekend and enjoy the roads around Llan'dod - If my Monster wasn't in bits I'd try and get there for a pint with you all. I ride around that area quite often myself and love the following:- Cross gates - Rhayader (A44) quite fast and nicely twisty, (A44 Crossgates to Rhayader) then up to the Elan Valley Visitors Centre (B4518 out of Rhayader) (Caban Coch reservoir dam from Elan valley visitors centre) continue around the reservoirs (around the reservoirs) until you hit the B4518 again - turn right back to Rhayader or left to Devils Bridge via the old deserted lead mines at Cwmystwyth. (Deserted lead mines at Cwmystwyth - spooky place!) If you like a faster roads, try the A470 from Rhayader to Llangurig for some cracking bends and recently surfaced. Look out for the grockles in campers, parked in laybys, drinking tea and waiting for some biker to overcook the bends!! Also the A44 from Llangurig to Aberystwatch is fast and bendy! (Look out for plod on this one though) The Brecon Beacons Nat Park and the Pembrokeshire Coast Nat Park are all within an hour and a half of Llan'dod so easily do-able in a day. In good weather Wales is a beautiful place, and as a biker I can only wish for better weather (bring on the global warming I say!!) Once again, hope you all enjoy your visit and of course, Croeso i Gymru (even you, Big Red) |
