Early m900 for sale
There's an early (K Reg) '93 monster for sale on eBay at the moment.
No connection with me: just got an email saying it had been listed. I asked the owner for some details and the frame number is one less than Pedro's, though he didn't say when it was first registered. It has been changed over the years and has also been tail chopped, but someone on here may be interested in an early bike as a project? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1823812439...&sojTags=bu=bu

Yes I saw that one a while ago when 'Norvin' posted up he was looking for a Monster but thought it had been too frigged around with (and tatty to boot) to be worth that kind of money- the lack of chain adjuster plates echo's of poor maintenance and the non standard front end suggests a possible accident in it's past but the Triumph speedo face and the accidental selfie of the seller made me chuckle though.

Looked up the address and it's not in the best part of town Looks like a bargain at say 1500 but way over priced at 2600 |

My 97 M900 had this done very early in it's life. Agreed it's way overpriced, unfortunately people can bolt on a few bits of Carbon, call it a special and somebody will buy it. I'm not liking the SS oil cooler mount position, way to vulnerable on a non-faired bike. Nasher.

With a possible change of engine as well as the change of forks (Would have non-adjustable Showa in '93) and swing arm (888 tab fitting for hugger in '93), there may not be a lot of '93 bike present: could this be a frame and log book reassembled? There are certainly some questions for potential buyers to ask to be sure of what they are buying? No comment on price: the right price is what's agreed between vendor and buyer.

The (V2) front head on my M900 has the tacho drive, at least there is a blanking plate over the hole that it would be in, so could easily be fitted.

He probably bought it for that much, hasn't used it and wants to get his money back. I'd offer him half what he's asking and it might be good value at that but tbh I could do with out all the problems and headaches in trying to put it right again. There are much better examples around for similar money that aren't chopped up shabby looking bitzas of dubious pedigree. I think its more 900SS and a few other bikes too, than Monster.
