One for Zimbo!

At long last I have (almost) finished restoring the 750ss that I bought from Zimbo.

I hope you like the photos.

I couldn't bring myself to paint the engine black after the Herculean task of getting the old paint off!

One question, should the electric fuel pump run all the time?

You've done a smashing job to that Dennis Menace...I so nearly bought that bike.

I really like the polished exhaust pipes...Makes all the difference.

Ally engine is better than black with the half fairing. But I would have gone for White wheels myself, with it being an early SS.

I think the pump does run all the time when the ignition is on, on those...It's a fuel rail system...Obviously not supposed to run with the ignition off.!

Cracking bike Dennis, nice job, The very early ones had white wheels for one year only I think, but for the next few years they kept the white frame and had black wheels. My '92 900SS was exactly that colour but with black engine covers and heads.n I think I still have the original clear OE screen from my it if you want one, I changed mine for a black smoke one too.

Thank you for your comments. Good to know the fuel pump is supposed to run all the time when the ignition is on. The wheels were black when I bought the bike and I think that is correct for the '92. They don't show the muck as much as white ones - do they Darren <wink>.

No comments on the wheelie bin - I am disappointed - I left it there deliberately. Perhaps I tried too hard.

Lovely job- Ducati would be proud- I don't think they ever made them that good.

I really like the look of the earlier 'Pantah' style belt covers and clutch case too.
